After the very successful pilot event in 2009 we have arranged for another 5 nights observing at Drumroamin Farm
Camping & Caravan Site. The site is located approx 10 miles south of the internationally recognised Galloway Forest
Dark Sky Park.
Drumroamin covers 5 acres with 20 caravan / tent pitches with electric hook up and a further 30
caravan / tent pitches without electric hook up.
The site has excellent facilities with a modern, spacious, heated shower block - the showers are
free of charge. Only the washing machine and dryer are coin operated. There is an indoor
playroom with pool table.
Whatever your interest in the night sky you will find this a perfect place for all forms of visual and
imaging astronomy. The location close to the UK’s only internationally recognised Dark Sky Park
has wonderful skies with, uninterrupted views in all directions.
There is plenty of space to have your equipment next to your pitch.
A map of the site location can be seen HERE
Note: We will be holding a public observing night on the 2nd November (weather permitting) between 7pm and 10pm.
