Ok so it's been a bit quiet in here lately but with all I've had to contend with lately that's hardly surprising! I finally got to use my Webcam that Andy Ellis (Astronomiser ) had modified for me. Part of the reason it's taken me over a year to use it was because I had no idea what to do with it! So a couple nights ago I imaged Jupiter through the tree the neighbours kindly planted next to my Observatory. It was low in the sky and seeing not brilliant but I put a blue 80A filter on the nosepiece of the webcam and hoped for the best. The image was wobbly to say the least but registax took care of that. This was the result of processing 570 frames and a little levels, curves and brightness contrast adjustment (photoshop6). Not too bad for a beginner! |
