Had a wee session tonight and managed to capture M27 with an un-modded
Canon EOS1000D.(it seems to have captured the red element very well)
This was taken at ISO 200 for 4 minutes with auto dark frame subtraction. The
setup was10" LX200 with f/6.3 reducer and 2" Baader contrast filter. The final
image was adjusted with levels and curves in Photoshop. The filter was a recent
acquisition from the guys at Rother Valley Optics and what a great filter too! it
really enhances the overall image with a great effect on my light polluted skies.
